Discover the historical and natural beauty of Istanbul with our "Gülhane Park and Sarayburnu Park Walk & Talk Tour." This shorter, guided walk offers an insightful exploration of two of Istanbul’s most significant green spaces, providing a blend of history, culture, and natural heritage.
The tour begins at Sarayburnu Park, where you’ll learn about the recent Arkeopark redevelopment, which highlights the area’s rich archaeological significance and its role in Istanbul’s history. Enjoy the stunning views over the Bosphorus and Golden Horn as you explore this historically significant promontory.
We then move to Gülhane Park, one of Istanbul’s oldest and most iconic parks. Once part of the outer garden of Topkapı Palace, Gülhane Park is steeped in history and features a variety of monumental trees, some centuries old. The park is also home to diverse wildlife and a wide range of flora, making it a vital green space in the heart of the city. Your guide will provide insights into the history of the park, the significance of its monumental trees, and the ongoing conservation efforts.
Sarayburnu Park: Located at the tip of Istanbul’s historic peninsula, Sarayburnu Park offers panoramic views of the Bosphorus and Golden Horn. The area has undergone recent redevelopment with the Arkeopark project, enhancing its archaeological and historical significance.
