The tour begins at Büyükdere Atatürk Nursery, a site with deep historical roots, originally established to support the cultivation of trees and plants for the city. Here, you’ll delve into the nursery's history and significance, while also exploring the recent ecological restoration initiatives that have revitalized this important green space.
Next, we venture into the Atatürk City Forest, where you’ll witness the outcomes of extensive ecological restoration projects. Büyükdere Atatürk Nursery: Established in the early 20th century, this nursery was named in honor of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Republic of Turkey, who emphasized the importance of forestry and reforestation in building a modern nation.
